Well we have been having an awesome time on the Use Your Sole Tour. We’ve seen lots of new and old faces, great crowds, and we have had great walks. What more can you ask for! Our Members Only Event in DC was a great success, with hundreds of Fan Club members gathering together for a special gig and a Q&A. We had a great time. The event was such a success that we are excited to announce that there is going to be a west coast Members only event before the tour wraps up, (check out the current details in the email below).

Thursday was my birthday (me Zac) and it was a blast. There is no better way to celebrate officially being in my mid twenties than a rock show. I got a cake… and then I smashed it in my face with a little help from Tay. I got a bucket of ice (I really love ice no joke)… over my head. Needless to say I am excited for the other guys birthdays! It was awe some. Thanks so much for all the well wishes and for all the thoughtful gifts that people have given me.

Looking forward to the upcoming shows, hope you have enjoyed some of the vids that have gone up on the site in the last week from the tour to give you all a little taste from the road! See you on the road and on the net.

Members Event California November 6th

We are planning another Members Only Event that will happen in California during the Use Your Sole Tour. The event will be on the 6th in the Los Angeles area. All members will be able to RSVP starting Tuesday October 27th. We look forward to seeing all of you there.

Two more dates added to the Use Your Sole Tour!
We will be announcing the final two dates we are adding to the Use Your Sole Tour on Monday. There will be a fanclub members presale on Weds 2nd Sept and the public onsale will be on Friday 4th Sept.

Voting on the Set
We will be launching a new feature on H.net for the “Use Your Sole Tour”, where fans will be able to vote on a song to be included in the set for every show on the tour. We are excited about what will come from this and are going to try and give a lot of variety in the songs that you can vote on. Look for this to Launch some time in September!

Members Only Event – RSVP Starts September 1st
We will begin the RSVP for the October 18th Washington DC Members Only Event on Tuesday September 1st at 5pm EST. Don’t miss out on this special concert, only for Hanson.net members. All details about how and where to RSVP will be posted on Tuesday.

This Week At Hnet

Members Only Event in Washington DC on October 18th
There will be a members event this October in Washington DC. The event will be a roughly 45-minute acoustic show plus Q&A (though they have gone as long as 3 hours in the past!). Details for the exact location are still coming together, but we hope to have them soon so we can give everyone plenty of time to make arrangements to be there.

RSVP for the event will begin on September 1st. Further details, including RSVP instructions, will be made available closer to that date.

Admission is FREE, but the event is only open to Hanson.net members.

SETB Shipping
Many of you saw Zac’s interview with Antiquiet.com this week where he mentioned that Strong Enough to Break had arrived at our shipping facility. Unfortunately the DVD Zac saw was only a sample and not the final product. We’re hoping to have them very shortly.

We’re getting closer and closer to the tour, and we are starting to feel really excited about getting back on the road. We are also trying to find ways to make this tour special and different than others in the past. One thing we are working on is a way for fans to vote on a song we will play at each show on the tour. We don’t yet have a date for when this will go up, but it will be ready before the tour (of course). We look forward to seeing all of you on the road about a month from now!! ITZ

Musical Ride 2009 Postponed

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are no longer able to operate the planned Musical Ride Bus for 2009. We are already working on a Summer 2010 HANSON tour, and will be re-scheduling The Musical Ride Bus to travel with that tour.

“We love having fans travel with us on tour and the chance to give H.net members a special experience so we hate postponing this year’s bus, but we’re excited about the possible combination of a summer tour, water balloons and the Musical Ride Bus.” – Zac

Members Only Event Location

We’ve listened to your feedback and in order to better accommodate the H.net community, we’re going to change the location of the fall Members Only Event to Washington DC. In addition to the fact that we have so many members on the east coast, Washington DC is also a hub for several airlines and has great train and bus services, making travel much easier. The Members Only Event will now be:

We will be helping to get a group hotel rate for any fans that want to travel from out of town, as well as a guide to some of the great things to do and see while you’re in DC. Look for more details about the event location, and how to RSVP in next week’s newsletter.

Meet & Greet and H.net Reporter

We are currently putting together a new way for members to become eligible for a M&G or the H.net Reporter at HANSON concerts. As well as having several benefits for the fall tour, letting us know what shows you are attending will be just a click away. The new system will allow for more features in the future – for example, concert badges listed in your profile. We plan on having this ready to use for the Use Your Sole Tour, so you should see it in the next few weeks. More details coming next week!

“With the new 2009 Musical Ride Bus we wanted to step things up a notch, so we’re going to be giving all the riders a selection of live music from shows that take place during the week. It’s the best way we can think of to remember an awesome week of live music.” – Zac

Members Only Event This Fall
We will be hosting a members’ only acoustic concert this fall as a part of the Use Your Sole Tour. The event will be held on Oct 9th in Indianapolis, IN. More details will be released in the weeks ahead.

Special Edition Album coming soon!
We’re planning on creating some very cool special edition album packages for the next HANSON studio albums. Items such as LPs, custom headphones, a “making of” documentary and more, will all be included in these great limited edition packages. Look out for more details later in the year.

We have been mixing the Stand Up Stand Up EP this week, and we should be done with it after the weekend. We are hoping to get copies out sometime in September to those who have pre-ordered, so you will have a chance to learn the songs before we play them on tour. Other than that, we are doing everything we can to prepare for being on the road this fall and releasing the next album in 2010.

This Week At HNET

From the Band…
Well it has been a busy month…so busy that we have not been posting much about what has gone on. We have finished and mixed the new album (still untitled), and the only step left is to master it later in the year. We are not planning on putting it out until spring of 2010, just to give us plenty of time to set things in place the way we want them. Over the last week we have been doing a little work on the Stand Up Stand Up EP, picking the final track listing and making sure it’s ready to be mixed. We finished up last night, and after the weekend we will start mixing the songs. I know we are all very pleased with the way the songs came out, and we are also glad we recorded them each three times, as we used the third performance version more than once. We also took time yesterday to work on five fan club songs from those same shows that we are going to be putting up only for t he H.net members. Lots to do!

The mini ‘Where’s the Love’ and Black Vintage shirts are part of the premier set of official mini HANSON merchandise and were created so your mini HANSON fan can join in on the fun.
The ‘Where’s the Love’ shirt is also available in adult sizes! This shirt is an addition to the HANSON style collection of throwback designs that were premiered at the HANSON day events May 15th & 16th.

Walk around the world

On May 16th we finished the second major goal of the Take The Walk campaign, by finishing our first Walk Around The World! We are inspired about what is still to come and excited to let everyone who has walked know the impact they have made by just walking a mile. We are already over 3,000 miles into our second lap around the world, so don’t stop walking! Checkout the site and see how far we have come. I TOOK THE WALK!

Well, we are nearing the completion of the new album with just over a week left of tracking. We are super excited about it and about getting ready for it to be released. We’re not quite there yet, but for now we are just focusing on this next week.

SETB set to release this spring
As we mentioned last week, Strong Enough To Break will be released this spring. The package will include 15 demos recorded during the making of Underneath. These demos include never before released songs, as well as original versions that made the Underneath album. Extra content on the DVD will include a commentary from Isaac, Taylor, Zac and Ashley Grayson (Director) on the film, as well as interviews about the all the demos included on the CD.

Message From The Band
We had a really long day yesterday working through the night into today, I guess when the inspiration comes you have to go with it. We finished up a song called “And I Waited” which is kind of a mix between Got A Hold On Me, and Tearing It Down. That means it is awesome!
